M1068 is a modified M577A2 that could house the Army tactical command and control system. M1068 also carries a 5 kilowatt auxiliary diesel generator, a 10m (30') antenna mast, and a power/data distribution system. It was planned to convert approximately two-thirds of the US Army's M577A2 fleet to M1068 standard.
