Pz.Kpfw.II (F) (Sd.Kfz.122) was based on the hull of Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.D and E. Ausfuehrung B incorporated a new sprocket and small modifications in the suspension. The flame thrower nozzles were mounted over the front fenders; behind these were placed armored housings for the nitrogen propellant, while the two 160L (42.25gal)-flame thrower fuel tanks were stored inside the tank. The fuel carried allowed the vehicle to fire eighty 2-3 second bursts at a maximum range of around 25m (80'). The normal turret was replaced by a smaller one fitted with a single machine gun.
