This Pz.IV/70(V) has 3 steel return rollers, but only the first 2 road wheels are of the steel-tired type. The front hull design was changed to add more slope, and the low superstructure from the Jagdpanzer IV rests atop the chassis. The 70-caliber 7.5cm gun has a very long overhang, and the weight of the weapon and heavy front armor made the vehicle nose-heavy and contributed to failure of the rubber-tired road wheels. The openings for the driver's periscopes are visible in the superstructure plate to the gun's left, and sideskirts could be mounted down the length of the hull.
